Thank you for reading our profile! We are looking for a nanny/aupair for our son Julius (nov 2020) and daughter Mia (jan 2023). In our profile below we would like to tell you something about ourselves and we will try to describe as much as possible what we would expect from you.
We are Hayo (1986) and Nicole (1987) and Julius & Mia and we're from the Netherlands.
Hayo is an open, easy-going and energetic person, spiritual as well. He has a Health coaching company. Cooking, sports, nature and a healthy lifestyle is very important to him. Hayo likes to read books, write, having dinner with friends, going to theatre & concerts, loves travelling, hiking and of course playing and dancing with Julius and Mia, and teaching them about life and the world.
Nicole is a warm spiritual person. She is sensitive herself and also very aware of how other people feel. Nicole has a company for 9 years, she’s facilitating Leadership & Culture programs. Nicole wants to have a good work-life balance and wants to see Julius and Mia growing-up. She works 3 days per week and the other day she is with Julius and Friday is her ‘me-time’ day. Nicole likes to have dinner with best friends & family, going to theatre & concerts, loves travelling, and personal growth is her passion.
Julius is a very sweet, social boy. He's funny and explorative, and also sensitive. After a busy day he needs to take it easy for the next day ;-) He is a typical boy: very active, curious, adventurous and he wants to do everything by himself. He loves helping us cleaning and cooking. He smiles a lot, loves to cuddle, and his favorite thing is eating ;-) He eats everything, his favorite are blueberries, plums, carrots… and broccoli! Believe it? :)
Mia is our little present, our cute little daughter. She's very curious as well, always looking what her big brother is up to! We love them both so much.
We lived near the city center in Rotterdam, Netherlands, but now we moved to Spain! Alhaurin el Grande, near Malaga.
You will have your own floor in our house. Alhaurin el Grande, near Malaga, a beautiful and vibrant city. There's a great mix of everything here: our green valley, plenty of beaches to explore and many beautiful mountains as well.

The main task of the nanny/aupair will be taking care of Julius and Mia, but we hope that you also love cooking :) because healthy and tasty food is important to us. Also we will ask you to help us with some household things. We just really like to be a bit flexible so both of us can leave at the same time, without having to be stressed about who will be taking care of our kids.
So basically, we think we are really an easy family, we are not demanding at all. We do really want the aupair to take care of our kids very seriously and be really focused on him (no cellphone while playing with them, please). You have to be a responsible person, that's important.
Things to do with our kids: play with them, sing songs together, prepare food, go out to the park, be proactive, give them some education / teach him something or just babysit while they sleep. If they sleep then some other tasks can be done, such as tidying up, vacuum clean, laundry.
In the mornings we’d like the au pair to help tidying up as well.
We’d also like to schedule the nanny/aupair for 1 or 2 nights a week (which the au pair can also do at any other time if requested and fits our schedule).
Oh and, almost forgot something very important: we really want our nanny/aupair to really be part of our family!
You will live with us and help us with different activities. In our agreement we will specify the activities and hours.
Please note that we’re flexible, so it’s possible to switch days if you’d like and if that fits our schedule. We may also request you to be flexible as it may happen that we have something unexpected that we need to attend (but of course we’ll always try to ask you well ahead of any changes).
