We are the Yoo family. We are a warm and inviting Korean American family of five living in the
suburbs of Westchester just 30 minutes outside of New York City. We’re problem solvers and
master jugglers of life. Balancing full time jobs and raising three young kids can be a challenge,
but with the help of our extended family and the help of a full time nanny, we make it work.
After all, it takes a village to raise a child, and we are grateful for all the love and support from
our family and friends.
We’ve had private nannies for the past 4 years, but we are now ready to transition to the Au Pair
program and welcome an Au Pair into our homes as an extension of our family. Our past
nannies had similar cultural and ethical values and we have developed great relationships with
each of them – we still keep in touch with all of our prior nannies. Asian cultures share many
common threads and we have found them to be compatible and share similar values.
We are a family who loves to host, cook and share laughter and make lasting memories with
friends and family. Our time revolves around keeping kids active, engaged but also giving them
some down time when needed. Going to the park for bike rides, exploring parts of New York
City for the eldest and going on playdates and birthday parties on the weekend is our primary
activity. We are excited to have an Au Pair join us and share our experiences while bringing
new perspectives and cultural exchange to our family.

We expect our au pair to put our children's care and safety as their first priority. The primary duty will be watching our 1 year old twins full time and occasionally wactching our 4 year old toddler and taking him to activities. We expect the au pair to share the responsibilities around the kids (doing laundry, preparing meals, cleaing up after them, etc.) We also want to share our family culture and values. We enjoy having family meals together and value having open communications with everyone in the household.
