We are a multicultural household. "Dad", a life coach, is from the States and "Mom", a professor, from Germany. We have twin 13 year old boys, a 12 year old daughter and an 8 year old boy who are each lovable, fun and curious. We are a family that's loving and open minded and we each have strong personalities and ideas. Hopefully, whoever joins us will feel comfortable in a household which is often busy and seldom quiet. :)
Books, toys, parks, playgrounds, various afternoon activities and a collection of pets are all significant parts of our life. We travel a few times a year and would like whoever works with us to be happy to join us.

We want someone honest, hardworking, kind, patient, lovable and fun to join us. All these qualities are necessary for this relationship to be successful.
The ideal candidate for this position should be happy to be with children, feel confident traveling across the city with them and be patient and want to build individual relationships with each of our children.
Housework should not intimidate you. With a houseful of children comes a lot of cleaning up, laundry, meal preparation etc. While not all of it would be your responsibility, you should be prepared to tackle the lion's share of the cleaning or be prepared to accept a lessor salary so we can bring someone else in to take care of it.
Our children are likely to fall in love with whoever joins us next. Therefore, we ask that if you consider this position please also consider at least a 12 to 18 month commitment. A longer commitment, assuming everyone is happy, is also doable and welcome.
