Dear Future Host family
First of all I would like to thank you for taking your time to read my letter.
I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.
My name is Mercy , but my friends and family call me Mimi. I am 23 years old and I live in Zimbabwe , a beautiful city called Bulawayo. I come from a family of five. I have two older brothers and my youngest brother. I stay with my mother and my two brothers . My dad passed away when I was 12 years old , in March 2013 ….,.
I’m very close with my family . We love spending time together and I often take care of my little brother when my mom is not around .
I graduated from high and last year I completed my diploma in Journalism. I am currently working as a shop assistant but also as babysitter. I gained my childcare experience mainly through babysitting .I love looking after children as you can learn much from them.
Twice a week I look after a 2 year old boy and an 6 year old girl. I get them ready in the morning, walk the girl to school and spend the whole day with the boy , watching cartoons, drawing and painting. We always have the best time together!
I would describe myself as a responsible, loving, caring, fun , helpful , trustworthy and mature person. I like to plan things ahead and be prepared for any occasion. I am not scared of new challenges and I don’t give up easily.
Why do I want to be an Au Pair?
I have always enjoyed working with children and find it rewarding to helping them learn and grow.
I am looking for a host Family who’s open minded and lovely. I don’t want to be just a worker but I would love to be part of your family and also a big sister for your children , I’ll treat them as if they were my siblings and take care of them.
I hope we can develop a close relationship and work together and live as a family . I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon and I hope we will spend a great time together.
