Introduction

Hiiiii everyone?
This is a detailed description of myself, upbringing and life. I want to be as detailed as possible so that you can know if I am a good fit for your family. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to hear from you ??
My Background and upbringing:
My name is Lily-Rose and I’m 22 years old. My nationality is Tanzanian but i was born and grew up in London until the age of 13. When I was 13, we then moved to Dar es salaam in Tanzania. Growing up my parents really encouraged travelling and how important foreign exposure of different cultures is Important, they also used to send me to summer schools in London and Amsterdam so that I was kept busy during the summers and came back home with amazing experiences. I finished middle school and high in Tanzania and after that I moved to Brussels, Belgium for university. I lived in Brussels for nearly 4 years and at some point I was living in between Brussels and Paris too.
I grew up living with my mum, step dad and little brother, in a very stable and loving family environment. We often took a lot of family vacations in the winter and summer to make up for the all the other months they were busy working and didn’t get to spend a lot of quality time with them. I really value and appreciate a loving family atmosphere and I think it’s very important for young children at an impressionable age so that they can grow up to be the best versions of themselves.
About myself and interests:
I consider myself to be a very kind and loving individual, I have a very nurturing personality and absolutely LOVE children. My hobbies are reading, painting, traveling and cooking.
My experience with children:
I have a younger brother that’s 13 years old. Growing up I had always been taking care of him because my parents were very busy working. I cooked for him, bathed him when he was still a baby, prepared him and myself for school, took him to his extra curricular activities (up until today) which included tennis, swimming, basketball, football and many more. When I got to high school my parents would travel for a few days and leave me alone at home to take care of him and his friends (at that time he was around 7 years old and I was 17). My little brother friends parents also used to ask me to babysit a lot too. When I moved to Belgium for university I kept on babysitting alot too. At some point an America family in Brussels hired me as a part-time babysitter to their lovely two kids (an 11 month old girl name Lily (just like me ahaha) and a 6 year old boy named Marcus). I would say working long term with the same family was one of my most favourite and fulfilling life experiences because their kids and I loved each other so much like we were really family. This family used to go on vacations in the summer and ask me to house sit and look after their adorable dog named Puddles. Taking care of children doesn’t feel like a job to me because it’s something I really enjoy doing.
Why I want to be an au pair?
I want to to be an au pair because after I worked closely with 1 specific family whilst living in Brussels I realised that this was really something I loved and wanted to keep on doing especially while I’m still young. I am also very easy to live with, I’m clean, respectful and helpful. I think I would be a great addition to enhance a family oriented atmosphere.
** I moved back to Tanzania from Brussels last month to spend more time with my parents here but now I am eagerly looking to travel somewhere to be an au pair as I am very passionate about taking care of children
Again please don’t hesitate to contact me I would really love to hear from everyone and get to know your beautiful families?
Lots of love,
Lily-Rose
