Hello, I’m Sandra – originally from the Netherlands and currently living in Portugal.
I’m a professionally trained nannny and movement coach with over 15 years of experience, and before that, I was a modern ballet dancer. My background in dance deeply influences my approach to working with children – I bring creativity, body awareness, and playfulness into every day.
Since 2010, I’ve been supporting families using principles inspired by Montessori, Waldorf, and homeschooling. I’ve worked with children of all ages and abilities, including those with limited mobility, and still stay in touch with some of the kids I cared for more than 10 years ago. I’m a bit older than most au pairs or nannies, but with that comes a wealth of life experience, genuine interest, patience, and a whole lot of love.

I really feel passionate about bringing my caring, bubbly and grounded energy to a family that aligns with my values.
I am  looking for a family that values freedom and expression for the kids and for myself, being in nature as much as possible and learning with nature as well as implementing systems for routine, structure and growth. I want to explore with the kids and learn from them as much as they from me and the world that we live in, bringing mindfulness and movement, art and play into as many things as we can!
