Hi! My name is Marli, I'm 22 years old, and I'm passionate about working with children and young people. While I've been working professionally in childcare for about six months as an au pair, I've been involved with children in different ways for most of my life.

I started babysitting and tutoring when I was 14 years old. At 16, I took a break to focus on my studies, and at 19 I became actively involved in youth ministry, where I had the opportunity to mentor and support teenagers in their personal and spiritual growth.

At 20, I worked at a tutoring centre, teaching high school mathematics and assisting students with a variety of other subjects. After that, I volunteered in underprivileged communities, working with children before spending a short time in retail.

I didn't originally plan on pursuing childcare as a career. It was the people around me who noticed how naturally I connected with children and encouraged me to consider au pairing. As I gained more experience, I realized how meaningful this work is to me. Although I'm still discovering what I want to do in the long term, I know that investing in children's lives is something I deeply value, and I hope the children I care for will always remember that they were loved, encouraged, and supported.

I'm naturally a people person, although I'm more on the introverted side. I enjoy building meaningful relationships, but I also value quiet time to recharge. I'm spontaneous, easygoing, and enjoy creating a calm and fun environment for those around me.

In my free time, I enjoy gaming, surfing, and taking long walks on the beach—especially during winter. I grew up with my mom and my sister, and family has always been an important part of my life.

Through au pairing, I also hope to save enough to complete my high school diploma and eventually continue my studies. I'm excited about the opportunity to become part of a family's daily life and to provide a safe, caring, and positive environment for their children.
