My name is Kelly, and I would love the opportunity to become your au pair. I come from a big family and am the youngest of six children, which means I grew up surrounded by different personalities, responsibilities, and the importance of supporting one another. Because of this, I truly understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable involved in your children’s lives.

I absolutely love spending time with children and creating a positive, fun environment for them. I enjoy coming up with engaging activities such as arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, and educational activities that help children learn while having fun. My goal is always to make sure children feel safe, supported, and happy while also respecting the routines and structure that parents have put in place.

I studied psychology, which has given me a deeper understanding of children’s behavior, emotional development, and conflict management. This helps me stay calm, patient, and supportive when children are having difficult moments. I also have a lot of empathy for children who may struggle with confidence or learning challenges. Growing up, I experienced being judged by teachers for learning difficulties, but with the help of a supportive environment I was able to build my self-esteem and go on to succeed academically. Because of this, I always aim to encourage children, help them feel capable, and build their confidence.

I also have an automatic driver’s license and am comfortable assisting with school drop-offs, pickups, and activities when needed. If the role is outside of South Africa and a vehicle is not provided, I would need access to a car or for transport costs (such as taxis, Uber, or public transport) to be included as part of the arrangement.

If the position is live-in, I would just like to mention that my boyfriend would also need a place to stay. He works as a property manager and works remotely from home, so he is quiet, professional, and focused on his work. Of course, I am happy to discuss this further depending on the family’s situation.
