Dear Sir or Madame

As a childcarer I believe in an innovative education in both a familiar and international
atmosphere and the educational exchange that accompanies it.
I believe that creating a safe, responsive and nurturing enviroment for a child can help
to prevent challenging behaviors and contribute to a child growing up to be a healthy
and balanced human being in society . As a childcarer I have worked with children
from different religious , social and economic backgrounds. This has enabled me to
think and act in a very practical manner, along side my educational studies . I have
realised how important it is to pay attention to all five areas of a child's development;
these being coginitive, social and emotional speech and language, fine and gross
motor skills development. I am convinced that it is important to not only meet the
child's educational needs, but also to look after his/her emotional well-being. As their
childcarer you are 'their home away from home'. I feel one of my most natural traits
is to be nurturing and to give kindness to those around me. I am very passionate
about psychology and understanding humans. In light of this passion I chose to study
developmental psychology and sociology. I am still in the process of completing my
degree via correspondence through Arden University UK. One of my strong points is
planning ahead and managing time. I do find organizing a calming way of spending
my time .
Growing up I always wished I had siblings and I really enjoyed caring for my younger
cousins. As a teenager I volunteered at my local church/community center to look
after a class of 25+ toddlers under the age of 3 every weekend. This is where my
passion for child care began and I quickly proved that I could be trusted with the
responsibility even as a teenager. I am energized by people and naturally socialize
with people from pretty much any age group. In addition, I am a nature and animal
lover. I am content and fullfilled with caring for the curious little humans on a daily
basis. I could not see myself doing anything else .
My internalional experience working in the UAE, UK and South Africa has taught me,
how to adapt to different social situations and think on my feet. The time I worked in
Dubai for the royal family allowed me to be a leader and work in a team. Having
worked in a team with different nationalities I am capable of having respect and
understanding for those around me. I think I would be a benificial new addition to your
household . As the saying goes : "It takes a village to raise a child".
I am eager to learn and find new innovative ways of assisting a child to become the
best version of themselves, having left a lasting impression on their little hungry minds. Consequently, I am constantly busy diong research on new ideas and
educational activities to stimulate their development. I would describe myself as being
ambitious, hard working and a believer in the change I can make in a child's life. I
also enjoy humour and putting a smile on the faces of those around me - especially
on children's faces. One quote by Nelson Mandela that I truely believe in is that "there
can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its
children ".
