My name is Spela and I come from a small village in Slovenia. I'm 28 years old and just finished my masters studies in Nutrition. I come from a family of 4: My parents and an older sister. My first language is Slovenian but I also speak fluent English and basics of German and Croatian. In my free time I try to be as active as I can, going to the gym, out with my friends or go on a long walk with my dogs. I also love cooking, travelling, baking and reading books. I'm a very patient, kind hearted, out going and optimistic person.
I would like to work as an au-pair/nanny especially because I love spending time with children. I started as an occasional babysitter for my little cousins and continued in high school where I did volunteer work (helping children that have learning dificulties) at our local school.
Later I wanted to experience working abroad, so I became an au pair during summer 2015 (Austria), 2016 (Austria), autumn 2018 (UK) and autumn 2022 (Australia). I have taken care of children from 1-12 years old, from families with 1 child, to families with 4 :). I can honestly say it has been so much fun, that I’m considering a career in childcare now.
Now I am back in Slovenia and want to "offer my service" to you! :)

Since I am now working full time, but still don’t want to give up on aupair-ing as I find it to be the best opportunity to explore the world and new cultures, I would love to find very short term positions as a holiday nanny. I get 20 days of holidays per year and I would love to spend at least a part of them as an aupair.
