Dear Host Family,
I am already very excited about getting know you. But, First of all. I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name I Angelique you can call me Anj or Angie for short. I have bachelors degree in accountancy. I am 26 years old and from the province of Laguna in Philippines.With my parents Nollie (53) and Lerma (49) and my sister Angela (12). We have got two dogs and one cat who loves to cuddle all day. My father works as a sales officer at a small firm and my mother sells fruits and vegetables. I help my mother in selling those goods especially in the morning because we have a lot of friendly customers. Angela currently attending the 6th grade. Overall we have a pretty large family. I have more than ten cousins.
I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my friends; they are – as well as my family – very important to me. Always trying to help, I’m always there for them if they need me. In my free time I love to travel and hiking with my friends, camping out on the mountains and beaches because I love to see nature. I love listening to music like Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran or something that can boost my mood sometimes I listen to classic and old songs. My hobbies are drawing and sewing. Before pandemic I volunteer at Church (The Feast) every Sunday for the Kids Ministry where I can help the teacher to assist the kids in singing, dancing and making fun work activities. It is fun seeing those kids learning! At the moment, I and my friend had a small business I managed and work as a sewer. We established this two months ago were we can do customized wedding gowns, dresses, wedding souvenirs and accessories (like cute mini bows for babies, scrunchies and cloth face mask). By the way I quit my job last April I worked as a tax and project accountant for four years in a real estate company.
I took care of my cousins when they are little because every time my aunt gave birth they always want me to take care of they’re kids. I am very close to them and I cherish the time I have spent with them. When my sister was younger, I also took care of her, when our mum was working. Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around, I can’t imagine a life without them.
The reason why I want to go to the Europe as an au pair is that I want to get to know the European way of life as well as different cultures and to meet great friends from different countries. Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend an entire year taking care of children. And of course, it would be great to improve my English skills as well.
I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kids. I am looking forward to talking to you.
