I am writing this letter to express my sincere interest in becoming your Au Pair. I have carefully considered the responsibilities and opportunities that come with being an Au Pair, and I believe it is an experience that aligns perfectly with my personal and professional goals.
My name is Rose, and I am a Filipina woman. I am 22 years old and currently reside in Bukidnon, Philippines. I studied economics and family life at a university. I have been a consistent honor student since elementary school up until senior high school. I grew up in a huge, loving family. I have four other siblings, and with my loving parents who taught me independence and a strong work ethic.
My hobbies and interests are playing sports like badminton and volleyball. I also love listening to music and writing stories. I do painting and watching different movies and series. I am also a pet lover. I have a dog and a cat in our house, and I treat them as my best friends. I also dance, am a fan of photography, and love to visit museums. I love learning new cultures and languages. I can describe myself as trustworthy, open-minded, friendly, patient, caring, responsible, and always open to learning new things.
Family holds a significant place in my life. I have a lot of childcare experience, with more than 800+ hours in total. I used to babysit my nephews and nieces when their parents were at work or doing some errands. I am very passionate about kids, and I love spending time with them. I love creating fun activities for my nieces and nephews, reading books to them, doing some crafting, and playing with them. I love guiding children and teaching those with good manners. I am also a member of a group of outreach programs for children ages 10 and below in our province (A Bridge for a Better Tomorrow). It aims to help the children in reading and broaden their capabilities in understanding. I also attended a child care training program in our city last August 2023.
Aside from having experience with caring for my nephews and nieces, my exposure to a diverse range of children extends beyond my immediate family. Growing up, I spent considerable time in our province, where I had the pleasure of interacting with my numerous young cousins. These interactions have taught me the value of independence, as I often found myself taking on new responsibilities at a young age. Whether it was helping my cousins with their assignments, participating in their extracurricular activities, assisting with household chores, or even managing a small grocery store, I embraced these experiences with open arms. They shaped me into a responsible and capable individual, capable of fostering a nurturing and supportive
environment for children.
The decision to become an Au Pair stemmed from a genuine desire to travel to Germany and immerse myself in German culture. I became fascinated by Germany's rich history, picturesque landscapes, and vibrant traditions. During this exploration, I discovered the Au Pair program and saw it as an excellent opportunity to not only broaden my understanding of German culture but also improve my language skills. I'm eager to prepare for this exciting
Throughout my journey, I dedicated time to studying German, watching German movies and television shows, and even enrolling in a short online language class. This process enabled me to gain a basic proficiency in German, reaching the A1 level.
I am confident that achieving B2 level fluency will not only help me integrate into the host family but will also serve as a valuable asset for future travel, potential studies, and personal development. I am excited to embark on this journey of self-discovery because it will allow me to improve my communication and social skills while also revealing my strengths and weaknesses.
