A warmth Greetings to my future Host Family.
Hi, I'm Dannah and I'm from Philippines, currently working in Kuwait as a nanny and at the same time a housekeeper for a 2 years contract. I am 26 years old,single,and not married.
I am writing this letter to express my interest in applying as an Au pair to your lovely family. Availability in June 2025 after finishing my contract(feb.2025) so, I can have a few months preparation for some documents needed. Believing that through my current job, I am capable of handling various aspects as an Au pair.
To slightly describe about my day-to-day work, well I am working to a family of 5, Mom & Dad, and 3 kids. the first time I came here, the kids were 9 years old, 5 years old and the youngest was 5 months old. I wake up early in every schooldays to prepare the kids lunchbox. When the kids are already at school, I will fix their bed and organizes all the dirty stuffs in the house. At 10 o'clock I'll start cooking for the family's lunch. Usually, after their lunch I'll do prepare some diet meal for Dad and serve fruits for the kids then do light household chores such as, washing the dishes, vacuuming, mapping the floor, and cleaning the bathrooms. In evening, I'll be the one to prepare their dinner but, sometimes they take an order from the restaurant. One of the kids always requesting me to sit beside him while he's going to sleep. while the kids sleeping, I clean-up the kitchen, the sala, and throw all the garbage outside the specific garbage area. In terms of cooking, I have learned Arabic-foods with the help of my employer (Mom & Dad) by guiding me how to do the procedures or showing me some videos in order to follow. So, whenever you'd like me to do some cooking activities, I'll surely love and interested to learn on it. Above all, my greatest experiences was, when my employer invited me to travel in Turkey for 2months which made me amazed and so much fun in exploring and meeting new people with different cultures.
Throughout my journey with my current job, it shapes me to become more patient, obedient, passionate, and a responsible individual that is essential to the role of an Au pair.
Thus, I can make sure that I am capable and fully prepared to embark on this enriching journey with your family.
