Dear host family,
I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name is Jamaica. I am 26 years old I'm from the small municipality of Guiuan Eastern Samar, Philippines. I graduated with a bachelor's degree of Science in Hospitality Management in Easter Samar State University.
I come from a broken family, we are 5 siblings my mother died when I was 2 years old and my father passed away last October 2023.

I grew up with my aunt and siblings. I learned to strive alone and finished my studies with my own strong dedication, hard work and perseverance.?I would describe myself as a strong, independent, reliable who tries to make the best out of every situation.
When it comes to child care experience, I have my experience taking good care of my nieces and nephews. From then, I learned lots of things, from changing diapers—making a milk—sing her to sleep--feed her—play with her, to have more and more patience. From singing nursery rhymes to counting numbers, from reading the alphabet to reading bedtime stories. And the most fun thing, from playing some toys to running around outside.
When it comes to household, I can cook simple dishes and I'm looking forward to learn how to cook some other dishes. The household chores that I often do are doing laundry, washing the dishes and cleaning the house.
I had my first job as nanny, there are only 3 of them in the family. Seaman and a teacher and their first baby. Since the father is seaman, we're only 3 left in their house (me, the mother and the newborn baby). I took care of the baby while the teacher was having her online classes. During the night we take turns of taking care the baby and that includes changing diapers, feeding milk and put her to sleep. I was also responsible of the household chores. I do the laundry as well and run some errands.
Since I'm used to living by myself for many years, I've learned to take responsibilities such as buying groceries and running other important errands.
I'm a very flexible person, and can quickly adjust and adopt to new environment. I would love to explore the world. Learn different cultures and languages. And to share mine with others. I'm looking forward to get out of my comfort zone to see and experience new things, and challenge myself into new ways of life.
