Greetings of Peace and Prosperity!
My name is Jemicah but you can call me "Jem", I am 23 years old from the Philippines. A fresh graduate with the a Degree of Bachelor of Sscience in ENTREPRENEURSHIP (I have attached my diploma on the documents section) I believe that being an Au Pair will lead me to greater opportunities.
I am living with my grandparents (on my father's side). Currently, there are 5 people in the household. Me, my grandparents, together with my aunt and her 11 yrs old son (my cousin) which I also babysit since he was an infant. Currently, I am the one who's taking care of my grandparents. Doing household chores such as cooking, cleaning, doing the laundry, and running errands.
My language is Tagalog while my dialect is Cebuano and I can also speak the English language Fluently. I would describe my self as reliable, friendly, positive and open-minded woman who is interested in getting to know new culture and people.
During my spare time, I usually watch cooking videos because I love to cook. Sometimes I also look after my 6yr old youngest sibling and my 11 yr old cousin feeding and cooking their meals, bathing, and keeping them safe and entertained. I love to listen to songs with different kinds of genre.
Being an Au Pair is one of my dreams. Aside from wanting to work abroad, I love being an Au Pair as it feels like home, working like I’m with my family. Taking good care of the kids, doing households chores, and run some errands of which I do regularly on my own home. As well as learning new culture.
I am open-minded, flexible, and can easily adapt to any circumstances, eager to learn new language and culture, and well equipped to adjust to a new environment. I am persevere, has the ability to work independently and under stressful conditions. I have adequate enough experience in home management; doing household chores such as cooking/preparing meals, cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping, watering plants, weeding the garden, etc; an experience in childcare/handling children including their meals and changing their diapers. Furthermore, I can speak two languages and one dialect; including the English language.
It’s not easy to be out my comfort zone; to work on foreign land. However, I am preparing myself to be physically, emotionally, and mentally strong to overcome it all. I want to become an Au pair because I want to learn new things and to experience being part of a new family. I believe that being an Au pair will help me to become more independent and responsible. To broaden my knowledge and skills of the country’s language, culture, beliefs, and practices. I want to give my full service to the host family.
Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person and I do respect that the house is your house and that I should follow your house rules. I also grow up in a humble home and a simple lifestyle. I was raise to be independent and was trained during my childhood days on how to do household chores and simple works such as cooking, washing dishes, doing the laundry, cleaning, and gardening. I am also low maintenance. Even though your culture is different from mine, I can assure you that I can easily adapt especially to the new tasks and daily routine and I will be a big help for you.
I have never been to abroad but I am preparing myself emotionally, mentally, physically, to this new journey of my life. I already have my passport which I got last year. I would love to know your language, culture, and practices.
