My name is Karen, I am a 23 years old girl and I live in Mombasa, a coastal city in Kenya, a country in Africa.
I am an open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, trustworthy, helpful and responsible person. I love taking care of people and making sure they are healthy and happy. I love cooking, reading and writing, am also good at some games.
I come from a big family of seven, me being the second born and the oldest sister. We live in our extended household together with my aunts and uncles ,where we were raised as sixteen close cousins. With our parents being busy most of the time we had to take care of each other. That is where I learnt the true value of family and what love and support from family can give to someone.
I recently graduated with a diploma in Tax Administration from Kenya School of Revenue Administration . I love learning new things , that includes culture , languages and traditions, reading and also writing. Being patient, calm and easy learning comes in handy when dealing with new things.
I would describe my strength as the ability to easily form a bond of familiarity with new people more so children. I learnt this when taking care of my family and at the kindergarten I was working in while in college. I have a weakness of getting too attached easily which may be an issue once my time comes to an end.
I am looking for a host family, that will gladly have me as part of the family and who are willing to learn new culture and language. I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one year or more depending on the the family.
