Dear Host Family
Hi, I’m 25 years old and from Japan. I’m currently studying English in Ireland, and from September I will be starting a childcare course in Brisbane in Australia. As I begin this new chapter, I’m looking for a warm and open-minded host family to live with as a demi pair or au pair.
I truly enjoy spending time with children and have several years of experience working with them. In Japan, I worked as a private tutor and cram school teacher for three years, teaching children from elementary to high school. I focused not only on academics, but also on building trust and helping students feel confident and supported. Some of my students were so comfortable with me that they refused to attend class unless I was their teacher!
In addition, I worked as an instructor at an educational facility, helping children aged 2 to 12 with basic math, reading, and even singing songs and playing puzzles with the younger ones. These experiences taught me how to be patient, flexible, and caring with children at various stages of development.
Outside of education, I’ve worked in the corporate world as an IT sales representative, so I’m also organized, communicative, and responsible. I’m currently building my career toward supporting children’s emotional well-being and educational opportunities around the world.
I have also grown up with a family dog, so I’m very used to being around pets and can help care for them too.
As a person, I’m cheerful, empathetic, and hardworking. I love baking, nature, and exploring new places. I’m currently learning more about intercultural education and child psychology, and I hope to pursue graduate studies in the UK to further this goal.
