Introduction
After graduating, I wanted to experience a new culture while becoming part of a local family. My interest in becoming an Au Pair grew through my experiences working with children. During a university project, I spent three days helping care for children at a childcare center, and I also volunteered as a tutor for kids in rural area for three months. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how rewarding it is to support children's growth. I see the Au Pair program as a meaningful opportunity to continue caring for children, improve my language skills, and build lasting connections through cultural exchange.
Throughout my education and previous experiences, I developed strong communication, responsibility, and problem-solving skills. My background in Psychology helped me better understand children's emotional and developmental needs, while my teaching and mentoring experiences strengthened my ability to guide and support kids with patience and empathy. These experiences have prepared me to adapt to a new environment, work closely with a family, and contribute positively my future host family. In my free time, I love reading, writing, learning languages, and listening to music. I also enjoy creative activities. One of my favorite hobbies is making handmade jewelry with beads, and I would love to share this craft with children by creating fun and simple projects together. I also enjoy trying new recipes that I find online, especially baking and cooking simple meals. I think cooking and crafting are wonderful ways to spend quality time with children while encouraging their creativity, curiosity, and confidence.
After my Au Pair experience, I hope to pursue a master's degree and continue building an international career. More importantly, I hope to leave with more than just new skills and memories. I hope to gain a second family across the world. I believe the Au Pair experience is about building genuine relationships, sharing cultures, and creating lifelong connections. Living with a host family would be a meaningful opportunity to grow together, learn from one another, and stay connected long after the program ends.
