Dear future host family,
My name is Riza, and I recently graduated this summer. I am an open-minded person who enjoys learning new things and exploring different cultures. I had the opportunity to work as an intern at Harper’s Bazaar as a fashion and lifestyle writer, which helped me become responsible, creative, and adaptable. I love traveling and discovering new perspectives, and I’m very excited to begin a new journey as an Au Pair.
I would like to become an Au Pair because I believe it is a wonderful opportunity to experience cultural exchange while contributing to a family’s daily life. I truly enjoy being around children and would love to support a family by helping with childcare and daily routines. Although I do not have professional au pair experience, I grew up caring for my brother, who was autistic. When our parents were not around, I helped take care of him, and through that, I learned patience, empathy, and understanding. Sadly, he passed away when we were pre-teens, but that experience shaped who I am and made me value family connection even more.
Although I do not have direct experience as an Au Pair, I have cared for my brother, who was autistic, from a young age. I often helped my parents by looking after him, which taught me patience, responsibility, and how to create a calm and caring environment. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for taking care of others and being part of a supportive family atmosphere.
I would like to become an Au Pair abroad because I want to experience life in another country, learn a new culture, and improve my learning language skills. I see this as a chance to grow personally, gain independence, and build meaningful relationships with my host family. I believe that living abroad and caring for children will be an experience that teaches me empathy, maturity, and cultural understanding.
I would describe myself as a friendly, open-minded, and adventurous person who loves learning new things and exploring different cultures. I enjoy music, art, and fashion, as well as traveling to new places. During the summer of 2025, I had the chance to travel alone to Europe for 25 days, visiting France and Switzerland. It was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life, as it taught me independence, self-confidence, and how to adapt to new environments. That journey inspired me to keep discovering more about the world and to continue stepping outside of my comfort zone. Overall, I’m a positive and curious person who enjoys connecting with people and experiencing new things.
