Hi everyone! I'm an experienced and passionate tutor/ childcare worker who would like to see the world. I have 10 years of experience teaching children in the 3-18 year age range, as well as peer tutoring college students. I have taught in a classroom setting, organized cultural events and outings, and provided personalized one on one tutoring for students who needed extra help. I genuinely love teaching - seeing students pick up on concepts and expand on what I've taught them to come to their own conclusions truly fills me with joy.
I enjoy caring for children and helping provide them with routine, enrichment and structure - in addition to my formal experience detailed above, I also helped raise my two siblings since they were infants, feeding them, changing them, and planning their sleep schedules, outfits and meals. I also have experience caring for elderly and disabled family/community members, and find great happiness in assisting others to live lives of dignity and fulfilment. I have cared for two neurodivergent family members, one of whom was battling depression while the other was suffering severe long term effects of COVID, for 8 years and 2 years respectively - I assisted with chores and day to day living, planned homework, prepared meals, organized appointments, and provided emotional support as needed.
I am mixed race, queer and neurodivergent myself, and I believe families come in all shapes and sizes - I would love to work with a queer, blended, multiracial or neurodivergent family, although this is by no means a requirement. I have a nose piercing and a shell piercing on one ear, as well as lobe piercings for earrings. I have no tattoos.
