Hello, my name is Doreen. I am 26 years old and from Kenya where I currently live with my family. I am the second born in a family of seven kids. Professionally, I am a customer relationship manager while I study part-time. I also recently enrolled as an English language instructor at Babylangues.I am currently preparing to join the University of Orleans for my master's degree. I also love playing football, volleyball, monopoly, reading novels, and learning new languages in my spare time. At the moment, I have basic proficiency in both French and Mandarin languages.
I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I look forward to being like a big sister to your children. I am also aware that the opportunity comes with responsibilities towards the kids and family as much as it is also fun. I intend to take up the responsibility and be the best Au Pair I can be. My calm and patient personality will help me to master situations that are more difficult for instance when the kids are tired or do not want to listen to me. I am also aware of challenges that come with the new position such as exhaustion within the first few days and the struggle to adjust to new environments or schedules. Being a quick and eager learner, I assure you that I will adapt to new tasks and daily routines quickly. I believe that my positivity, charisma, and relatability will help me connect with your children better to be helpful to your family.
Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have to follow your house rules. In case of dissatisfaction or disagreements, I prefer to talk and reach a solution that is favorable to all parties involved. I also prefer to handle tense situations immediately instead of leaving them to flare up, as I believe it is important to coexist in harmony. This strategy has worked in my family and in the instances where I have had the privilege to work as an au pair & pet sitter.
I have never spent time abroad and I look forward to the experience. Rather than focus on the challenges that come with such change, I choose to look at it as a chance for cultural immersion with a French family. It has always been my wish to experience different cultures, especially to be a part of the French culture and family. It would be an honor to share the opportunity with your family.
