Dear family,
My name is Maya, I am 19 years old, half danish, half egyptian and currently working in a kindergarten in Copenhagen, Denmark. I am quite experienced in childcare if I have to say so myself. Other than my current job at a kindergarten, where I take care of children from ages 0-6, I have also previously volunteered in kindergartens in Egypt during the busy times of summer school. On a bit less professional note, I also have two little brothers of my own, one of which is 5 years old and I have been a big part of his caregiving. Lastly, on top of this, I come from a large Egyptian family which means I’ve been surround by kids my whole life, and what a blessing that is. I believe that we can learn as much from kids as they can learn from us, which is why I enjoy spending time with them, their creative little minds can be so inspiring.
Now to the more practical part: I will finish working at the kindergarten end of January and I am planning on studying medicine and therefore have to take a supplementary physics course that starts late March, so I am available to join your family from late January/ start February until late March which I understand is a short period.
I love traveling and exploring new cultures, so I hope to also explore your culture as well as spend time with your kids.
