Hi there! I'm Yang Ping from China, and I'm 26 years old this year. I've got some experience when it comes to looking after kids. While I was in university, I majored in education. During that time, I volunteered at a primary school in Nanjing. I had a blast teaching the little ones and sharing stories about our country's history with them. I also got to be a teaching assistant at a training institute, which also was a super fun and interesting experience. And I even did a few months' internship at a high school!
I also have some experience as an au pair. Seven years ago, I went to Sweden to work as one. While I was there, I had so much fun with the kids. We'd sit together and build amazing Lego models, like castles. I'd tell them some interesting stories, and they'd listen with wide - eyed wonder. We'd run around in the yard, playing games...
I also made sure to take them to school and pick them up safely every day. And you know what? I loved cooking delicious Chinese food for them, like sweet pork and dumplings. They always liked them.
But sadly, this great time only lasted a few months. I really got along well with the family, but I had to go back to China to finish my studies.
Now, I've graduated from university and have been working in my country for a few years. I feel like it's time for me to get out there again, see more of the world, and have new adventures. That's why I want to be an au pair once more. I think it's such a cool and meaningful thing to do. If I could experience German culture first - hand and live with a loving German family for a whole year, I'd be so grateful.
