Hello dear host family: My name is Lei . I’m 29 years old and come from Southwest of China, the panda bear’s hometown-Chengdu.
I graduated from university in July 2013. In 2014, I worked with an American family as a caregiver for children and a Chinese tutor for 5 months in Chengdu. The family have two lovely boys, one was five and the other one was seven. I picked up the kids from school at noon, then I taught them Chinese one by one at home. Later we played Chinese games together. And I took the boys to Tie Kwan Doe twice a week. I also did some cleaning work, such as vacuum, sweep, do laundry. Sometimes I prepared the dinner as well, and I like cooking, I only know how to cook Chinese food, but I would like to learn to cook other foods.
After that, I worked in an international school in Chengdu as a teacher assistant for 3 year-old Chinese children for 1.5 years. My job was helping the foreign teacher in class and teaching children Chinese.
And now, I have been working for a French family as a nanny for over 3 years inAviv,Israel.I am still inAviv doing the same job for the same family. I take care of 3 boys, they are 9,10 and 11 years old. My job is sending them to school in the morning, picking them up afterschool, cooking dinner for them the parents want them to continue to study and speak Mandarin.I speak to the children in Mandarin every day,and I also teach them write the Chinese characters and read them the Chinese stories. At the same time, I do some light house work such as doing laundry, sweeping the floor, going shopping and so on.
In my free time, I like reading, resting at home, having a walk outside,having a cafe with friends, going to the church.
People around me think I am sweet, nice,responsible ,honest and trustworthy.
