Dear Family, My name is Chantè, I am 30 years old. I live in Vredekloof, Brackenfell. I have a valid driver’s license. I drive a 2015 Kia Rio. I am a confident driver and have been driving for over 10 years accident free. I am very responsible, dedicated, and motivated young woman. I am well organized, neat, and clean person. I like having fun and I have a good sense of humor. I am friendly, caring, loving and an exceptionally reliable person. I know when to have fun and when to focus on the important things. I am not a complicated person. I enjoy the simple things in life. I adore children. I am a single mother to a happy busy 3 year old toddler whom I do life with. I believe you always learn something from a toddler, I sure have. I am a firm believer that to make an Au Pair experience the best one for both parties, communication is key! In all my experiences doing this, I've learned to speak up, ask necessary questions and have a open communication line with the parents. I speak English, Afrikaans, and know some Dutch as I lived in Holland and Belgium for 2 years. I have some basic knowledge of German as well. I look forward to hearing from you and your family.
I started my Au Pair journey in Germany in 2017 where I had 3 kids. A 6 and 9 year old girls and a 12 year old boy. After Germany, I moved to Bussum in The Netherlands where I had the most beautiful family. I had a 8 month old boy, a 6 and 7 year old boy. I keep in touch with them regularly and they are like my second family. The mom often visits Cape Town and we meet up. The kids would usually refer to my mom as “Ouma Afrika”. After The Netherlands, I came home to see some family and prepare for my move to Belgium. I lived in Watermael-Boisforte in Brussels. I had 3 kiddies again. An adorable and loving 6-year-old and 9-year-old girl then their brother who was 10. They were a French/Dutch family, and I could learn a bit of French. I traveled with the family to their house in France and got to see the beautiful Cap Farret while Au Pairing for the family in their holiday home. While my stay in Belgium, COVID happened and my host family and I had to learn to adapt to the new “normal” way of life... in school and in our personal life. I started home-schooling the kids, I tried to keep them in a similar schedule as school and would keep them busy with arts and crafts, movie days on cold snowy days and educational games.
I love baking and would often bake and create cakes for friends and family. I really enjoy cooking and learning new recipes. I am always up for experimenting new things in the kitchen. I am willing to prepare meals for the kiddies. I like exploring and love being outdoors. I grew up camping almost every 3rd weekend. I like doing arts and crafts. I also enjoy doing children activities with kids and having a good time. I enjoy teaching kids new things.
