Introduction
I’m currently finishing my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and I also hold a Certificate III in Visual Arts. Working with children has always been such a big part of my life and who I am. I would describe myself as caring, empathetic, bubbly, and creative, and I love bringing joy, fun, and calm energy into the spaces I’m in. I’m very organized, helpful, and love using my initiative — but I’m also light-hearted and whimsical, which I think helps children feel safe, seen, and excited to learn.
I’ve always known I wanted to travel the world, but what held me back was the thought of missing being around children. When I discovered the Au Pair program, I knew instantly it was the perfect fit for me. I recently travelled to Paris and absolutely fell in love — the culture, the food, the art, the history — and I knew I wanted to experience more of Europe in a deeper way. Being an Au Pair gives me the chance to learn from another family’s way of life, to experience your traditions and daily rhythms, and to share my own culture in return.
I’ve worked with children of all ages — from newborns to teenagers — in childcare, nannying, after-school care, and as a youth (teenagers) leader at my church. I’ve also supported children with additional needs, including a wonderful 4-year-old boy with autism and ADHD, which taught me so much about patience, communication, and unconditional care. What I love most about working with children is seeing them grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence. My teaching style is play-based and interest-driven — I love following what excites each child and turning that into meaningful learning experiences.
If you choose to welcome me into your home, you’d be gaining someone who will treat your children with genuine love, patience, and respect. I’ll happily jump into your routines, lend a hand wherever needed, and bring warmth and positivity into your family life. I want to be a big sister figure who your children feel safe, inspired, and happy around. I’m so excited to build memories together — cooking, exploring, laughing, learning, and making your home feel just as special to me as mine.
I want to become an Au Pair abroad because it combines two things that bring me the most joy — working with children and exploring new cultures. Travelling has always been a dream of mine, but I knew I’d miss the energy, laughter, and creativity that children bring into my life. Being an Au Pair allows me to do both: to grow through cultural exchange, to experience family life in another country, and to continue doing something I truly love. I believe that living and learning abroad is one of the most beautiful ways to understand the world and yourself — and I’m so excited to embrace that adventure.
I’d describe myself as kind, thoughtful, and endlessly curious. I love walking, exploring museums, cooking and baking, journaling, taking photos, painting, and finding new music. I’m passionate about children, psychology, creativity, history, and culture, and I love learning about how people live, eat, and celebrate around the world. I’m also a big fan of cosy movie nights, board games, and spending time in cafés with friends. After being an Au Pair, I plan to continue my studies in early childhood education and hopefully travel more, continuing to learn from different people and cultures along the way. My dream is to one day have a family of my own and to bring all these experiences into the way I raise my children and teach others.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me. I can’t wait to meet you and hopefully share this adventure together.
With love,
Kaitlyn
