Introduction
My name is Corey, and I am a dependable, respectful, and hardworking man from California seeking a live-in au pair, manny, or family-assistant position. I am especially interested in supporting a busy parent or family with school-age children by helping create a safe, organized, and consistent daily routine.
I would describe myself as calm, patient, responsible, active, and easy to communicate with. I understand that inviting someone to live in your home and help care for your children requires a great deal of trust. I would always treat your home, family routines, personal information, and parenting preferences with respect and discretion.
My professional background has helped me develop strong time-management, driving, organization, customer-service, and problem-solving skills. I am comfortable working independently, following detailed instructions, staying on schedule, managing multiple responsibilities, and adjusting when plans change. I take pride in being reliable and completing tasks without needing to be constantly reminded.
As an au pair or family assistant, I would be comfortable helping with morning and evening routines, preparing simple meals and school lunches, school drop-offs and pickups, activity transportation, homework supervision, playtime, outdoor activities, household errands, grocery shopping, dishes, children’s laundry, and keeping the children’s bedrooms and shared areas organized.
I enjoy activities such as walking, hiking, swimming, sightseeing, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. I would be happy to participate in sports, trips to parks, beach days, games, creative activities, and age-appropriate outings. I would aim to be a responsible and encouraging adult presence while still respecting that the parent makes the rules and important decisions.
I am particularly interested in working with school-age boys because I believe a dependable male caregiver can provide positive companionship, structure, encouragement, and mentorship. However, I am open to supporting children of different ages and genders and would treat every child with patience, fairness, and respect.
I am also willing to help the parent with general personal-assistant and household responsibilities. This may include running errands, organizing household supplies, coordinating appointments, managing reminders, helping with travel preparation, handling returns, picking up groceries or prescriptions, and communicating with household service providers. I understand that a family-assistant role often requires flexibility and a willingness to help wherever support is reasonably needed.
I have extensive driving experience and am comfortable navigating unfamiliar areas and completing multiple trips or errands efficiently. Safety, punctuality, and responsibility are very important to me. I would be willing to complete a background check, provide references, obtain CPR and First Aid certification, and meet any other reasonable requirements for the position.
For a live-in arrangement, I would respect the home as both my workplace and the family’s private space. I value clear communication, defined working hours, regular days off, and a written understanding of responsibilities. I believe these expectations help create a healthy and successful long-term relationship between a family and their caregiver.
I am open to relocating within the United States and would also consider international opportunities when the family can provide a legal work arrangement and assist with relocation. I am looking for a position where I can become a trusted, consistent, and helpful part of the household rather than someone who is only present temporarily.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I would be glad to learn more about your family, your children’s personalities and routines, the support you are looking for, and what a typical week would look like in your home.
I hope to find a family where we can communicate openly, respect one another, and build a dependable long-term working relationship.
Best,
Corey
