Hello! My name is Margaret and I graduated from university (University of Virginia) in May 2019, nannied for several years after college, and currently work as a fundraiser for a local children's hospital. I have a passion for all things travel and culture. I am very open-minded and am seeking the opportunity to fulfill my dream of living and working abroad. I have 4 years of working experience in childcare, as well as 10+ years of working as a babysitter for newborns up to pre-teens. I have volunteered abroad in Haiti and Ecuador working with local children, as well as volunteered during university for 4 years with local children (in addition to being a mentor/"big sister" to a 10 year old girl for 3 years). I love working with children and find myself constantly inspired by their imaginations, as well as energized by their youthfulness. I have traveled extensively throughout my life (Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, Central America) and have developed a love for learning about different cultures. I am respectful, organized, honest, and hardworking...but I also feel that life is too short to take too seriously, therefor I try to live life to the fullest. I tend to be very relaxed, adaptable and open to all types of new experiences. I am friendly and enjoyable and would love to opportunity to live and work with a kind and welcoming family! In regards to Infant Care Certification, I do not technically have the certification itself, but I have worked with young children (newborns to toddlers) for several years (which I assume would meet the requirements of certification)and I am quite confident in my ability to care for infants and young children--I can provide references from previous employers if necessary.
