Introduction
With children, I am very present, calm, and playful. I believe in gentle parenting, clear and loving boundaries, and really listening to what a child is communicating through their words and behavior. My own mom is a pediatrician who always took my feelings seriously, and that example taught me how important it is for kids to feel safe, heard, and respected. I see emotional health as part of my work ethic and value open communication, reflection, and collaboration with parents. I love staying in touch with former nanny kids (with parents’ permission) and being someone they still want to share their art projects, small wins, and big milestones with.
Outdoors, I am very active and happy to be the adult who is always up for an adventure. I am a strong skier who has spent a winter season working at a mountain resort, grew up hiking and being outside in all kinds of weather, and I enjoy bringing that same love of nature to the children I care for. In a San Diego setting, that looks like beach days, park time, walks, playgrounds, and finding fun local activities rather than too much screen time. I am comfortable planning age appropriate outings, maintaining routines around naps and meals, and balancing fun with safety.
I also bring an international and language rich perspective. I speak French at an intermediate conversational level, studied it in college, and enjoy weaving in simple words, songs, and games when it is a good fit for the family. I know a bit of Spanish and would be excited to learn more, especially in Southern California. I value diversity, inclusion, and helping children grow up curious about the wider world.
As a live in nanny, I am respectful of shared space, used to house systems, and understand the balance between being part of the family and maintaining healthy boundaries. I am organized, communicative, and reliable with schedules, calendars, and routines. I would be a great fit for a family looking for a responsible, upbeat, and thoughtful nanny who will invest in their children, communicate clearly with parents, and bring a lot of heart, creativity, and stability to their home in San Diego.
If you think we might be a match, I would love to talk more about your children, your parenting style, and what support would feel most helpful to your family.
