Hello! My name is Lily and I am a nineteen year old from Vermont who has been taking care of children for the majority of my life. My first experience with children was at the age of nine when I started watching my next-door neighbors and from there I continued being a nanny for them throughout high school. At the age of ten, I then was a nanny to six siblings; then, when I was fifteen I spent four months as a camp counselor for children ages three to six. During this time, I got to learn how to lead them through camp: ensuring their safety. Additionally, I also got to plan fun and engaging activities for them which included scavenger hunts, helping them create and perform a play, and do create-your-own coloring sheets. Overall, it was a great opportunity for me to learn leadership and ensure that they had a great summer. Now, this past summer I was a nanny for two kids ages two and four, where some of my favorite activities to do with them included playing outside, doing arts and crafts while sitting in the sun, playing in the sprinklers, watching movies, and building forts. To me, outside activities are always the most fun to do with the kids. All in all, I am a very independent and reliable person, always open to new things and changes. I’d also say that I am a hard worker, good communicator, and a good role model because, whenever I am committed to something I put my mind to, I strive to accomplish it.
