I hope that this message finds you well. I am a dedicated, nurturing nanny who is excited about the possibility of working for a great host family and being immersed in a beautiful new culture.

A bit about me: I am 24 years old and live in Boise, Idaho, where I attended Boise State University. I grew up in California by the coast, and I am eager to move back there and be near my family one day. In my free time, I love to hike, run, spend time with friends, and travel to new places. My friends and family describe me as calm, witty, and adventurous. I love spending my summers working in national parks all over the country, and I am eager to spend this summer working overseas!

I have a background in teaching, and I love combining the skills of a teacher with the warmth and compassion required for childcare.. My bachelor’s degree is in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Teaching English as a second language. I am passionate about teaching English to children and helping them become confident in reading, writing, and speaking the language. My love of teaching literacy, language and helping students reach their language goals has led me to pursue a career in speech language pathology. In the fall, I will begin a master’s degree program to become a speech language pathologist.

With experience spanning all age groups, particularly within the 3-11 age range, I have worked as both a babysitter and part-time nanny for several families throughout the years. My love of exercise, sports, and the outdoors is intertwined into my work as a nanny. Activity, creative play, resiliency, and problem solving are what I emphasize and encourage when working with children. Colleagues and friends have described me as having a calm demeanor, and I believe this has served me well in both childcare and my work as a teacher.

By nature, I am a very neat, organized person, and I will bring this skill into my work with the children as well as serving the household. I am happy to do housekeeping, cooking, and run errands upon request. I hope that my personality as well as my experience can be a blessing to your family.
