Hello! My name is Sarah, and to start, I have ample experience in childcare, infant and overnight care, and a strong foundation in household and kitchen management.
I’ve worked as an au pair for families in Romania and Italy, caring for three children at a time. All under 13 and I really got to learn quickly how to entertain and take care of multiple kids at a time. I can adapt to any culture or routine needed, my time as an au pair made me feel so fulfilled being able to have a genuine impact on the families daily lives.
Locally, I currently babysit for three young girls in Westerly, Rhode Island, and the family would be happy to serve as a reference. I was first hired as an overnight nanny for their second daughter and made sure the nighttime went smoothly so the parents could rest. I returned again for their third daughter. By then, I was caring for all 3 girls at bedtime. Quite the feat, nothing phases me anymore lol. I’m calm, attentive, and confident during overnight hours, and make sure the days are full of excitement and fun so sleep comes way easier.
In addition to childcare, I’ve worked as a chef and manager at the University of Rhode Island and Brown University. This past summer, I also launched and ran a smoothie bar by the beach in Narragansett, which is my specialty. But there is nothing I cannot cook or prepare!
I’ve also worked as a housekeeper at the Ocean House, and I genuinely enjoy organization and maintaining a clean, inviting home. I’m detail-oriented and comfortable taking initiative to support a household beyond childcare. I would like to find a position where I can add ease to someone’s life.
