Dear Host Family,
Hello! My name is Ken Adrian, and I am from the Philippines. I am very excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and hopefully find a kind and welcoming family with whom I can share meaningful experiences.
I would describe myself as a hardworking, responsible, patient, friendly, and caring person. I enjoy helping others, learning new things, and spending time with people. I am also willing to adapt to new environments and learn your family's routines, culture, and way of life.
I currently work as a Service Crew member at Jollibee in Hilongos, Philippines. My main responsibility is as a Cleaning In Charge (CIC), where I help keep the workplace clean, organized, and safe. I wash dishes, clean the public restroom, maintain different areas, and take care of the plants. I was also previously trained as a Fryman, where I prepared and cooked fried food while following proper safety and cleanliness procedures.
I also have a National Certificate II (NC II) in Housekeeping. Because of my training and work experience, I am comfortable with cleaning, organizing, maintaining a tidy environment, and helping with everyday household tasks. I would be happy to use these skills to help your family and keep our shared home clean and comfortable.
I also have personal experience taking care of children. When my aunties were unable to take care of their child, they would bring her to my parents' house. When my mother was busy, I would help look after her. I would play with her, spend time with her, and make sure she was safe and comfortable. Although this was within my family and not a professional childcare job, it helped me learn how important patience, attention, responsibility, and kindness are when caring for a child.
I would love to spend time with your children, play with them, help with their daily activities, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable around me. I am also willing to learn how your family prefers to care for your children and follow your rules and routines.
I believe becoming an au pair is not only about helping with childcare and household responsibilities. It is also about becoming part of a family, learning from each other, experiencing a new culture, and creating memories together. I would be happy to share my Filipino culture, food, traditions, and experiences with you while learning about your family and culture as well.
