Introduction
My name is Kaye, I'm 24 years old, and I currently live in the Philippines. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Financial Management. I'm excited to introduce myself and share a little about who I am and why I would love the opportunity to become an au pair again.
I had my first au pair experience in the Netherlands from 2022 to 2023. It was such a meaningful chapter of my life because I was not only living in a new country, but also becoming part of another family. I cared for a baby who was only three months old when I arrived. Looking after such a young baby was both a responsibility and a wonderful experience that I will always remember.
My daily routine included preparing bottles, following the baby's feeding and sleeping schedule, playing and spending time together, helping with the baby's daily routine, and making sure everything was clean and safe. There were challenging days, of course, but those moments helped me become more patient, responsible, and confident in caring for children. I especially loved seeing the little changes and milestones as the baby grew. That experience made me realize that caring for children is something I genuinely enjoy.
As a person, I would describe myself as caring, responsible, patient, and easygoing. I'm someone who enjoys having a routine, but I'm also flexible when things don't go exactly as planned. I understand that every family has its own way of doing things, and I'm always willing to listen, learn, and respect your routines and parenting style. I'm also happy to help with light household tasks and do my part to keep the home comfortable and organized.
Living in the Netherlands also taught me a lot about being independent and adapting to a different culture and lifestyle. It was sometimes challenging being far away from my own family, but it helped me grow as a person and become more open-minded. I enjoyed meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about their way of life.
When I'm not working, I enjoy simple things like reading, cooking healthy meals, riding my bicycle, and taking photos. I would also be happy to cook some Filipino food for your family and would love to learn how to prepare some of your favorite dishes. I think food is one of the nicest ways to share our cultures and make each other feel at home.
For me, being an au pair is not simply a job or an opportunity to travel. It's about building a genuine connection with a family, caring for the children, sharing everyday moments, and learning from one another. I hope to be someone your children can feel safe and comfortable around and someone you can trust.
At the moment, I'm back in the Philippines and doing my very best to find another host family. I know that finding a family who is willing to welcome an au pair from the Philippines can sometimes be challenging, but I'm staying hopeful and continuing to look for the right match. I believe that every family is different, and I'm hoping to find one that is open-minded, kind, and willing to give me the opportunity to become part of their family.
I would love to have a video call with you so we can get to know each other better. I'd be happy to hear about your family, your children, your daily life, and what you are looking for in an au pair. At the same time, I would love to share more about myself and my previous experience.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter. I hope to hear from you and hopefully have the chance to become part of your family and create many wonderful memories together.
Warm regards,
Kaye
