Hello future host family!

My name is Payton, I’m 22 years old and originally from Memphis, Tennessee, in the United States. I have been living in Paris for the past four years and recently graduated from Paris College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Paris has really become my home during this time — my closest friends and community are here — and I am very motivated to continue living in the city while building my career in the arts.

I am looking for a kind and welcoming family to join as an Au Pair & Nanny. I genuinely love working with children and have several years of childcare experience in both the United States and France. Since May 2023, I have worked as an English nanny in Paris with children approximately 3–10 years old. My responsibilities have included school pick-ups, supervising children, helping with homework, preparing meals and snacks, organizing activities, and providing English immersion through everyday conversation and play.

Before moving to France, I also babysat elementary-school-aged children in the United States and worked at children's summer camps. Through these experiences, I have become very comfortable caring for children of different ages and personalities. I am patient and attentive, but I also love being playful and creative. I especially enjoy arts and crafts, drawing, painting, storytelling, games, imaginative play, and coming up with activities that keep children interested and engaged. My background in art means I always have lots of creative ideas!

I would love to be an Au Pair because I don't want this to feel like simply a job. I hope to become a genuine part of my host family's life and build a trusting relationship with both the parents and children. I would be happy to help with school routines, homework, activities, meals, and the everyday responsibilities that come with caring for children. I am also very respectful of family rules and routines and understand that every family has its own way of doing things.

I am a native English speaker and currently have an A2 level of French. I would love to share my English and American culture with your children while continuing to improve my French through everyday life. I think this cultural exchange is one of the most exciting parts of being an Au Pair!

I would describe myself as caring, responsible, creative, independent, patient, and easygoing. Living abroad for four years has taught me how to adapt to new environments, take responsibility for myself, and communicate with people from different backgrounds. I am also very flexible with my schedule. I am currently in my applied studies year and do not have regular classes, so I have availability during weekdays and weekends and would ideally like to work as much as possible within the limits of my residence status.

I hope to find a family who is looking for someone dependable and caring, but also someone who will bring energy, creativity, and enthusiasm into their children's lives. I would love the opportunity to get to know your family, learn about your children and their interests, and hopefully become someone they feel comfortable with and look forward to spending time with.
