Dont hire her! Jessica is a terrible nanny. Messy, introverted, moody, impatient with children, sleeps excessively 10-12 hours day, is a hypochondriac was sick 4 times in 2 months and took 7 days of antibiotics that she brought with her from Brazil each time. She was our live in nanny for 2 months she had never been a nanny before, live-in or out. I hired her based on the recommendation of our wonderful prior nanny who was with us for 6 months until her visa ended after they met in English class. What a mistake! She clearly has an anxiety disorder and relieves it to some extent by sleeping and by looking at her phone CONSTANTLY. Her phone is in her hand at all times. My granddaughter crumpled up some styrofoam packing material and Jessica sat down to help her do it. She said my mother would never have let me do this. I said its not a big deal I can vacuum it up in 5 minutes. Then Jessica went into her room and reappeared with her coat on and her bags packed. She said Im leaving because Im the one who will have to clean that up because she did it, and I dont want to, and she left! She quit just like that because she thought she would have to vacuum up styrofoam!I had to work that evening for 2 hours teaching, and in the morning. She knew I would have no childcare and she didnt care. It was shocking. When I went to clean up the room I found bags of garbage behind the bed and in the closet and cigarette tobacco in the drawers.
