I recently returned to the US after residing in Tanzania for 43 months while adopting. My son is 6.5 years old and will be attending school in Delaware. I was born and raised in southern Delaware, so my family is in town and able to help with his school transportation and summer childcare.

Before moving to Tanzania, I worked in Franklin, Tennessee, as a nanny (50+ hours a week) for two boys, ages 15 months and 4 when I started in 2007. I was with them for two years. I have been babysitting since I was 11 years old (16 years now) for children ranging in age from 2 weeks to 12 years. I also have years of experience in my son's former orphanage here in Tanzania. I recently fostered a baby while his adoptive parents were abroad throughout the adoption process. He was 18 days and a tiny 5.5lbs when he came to live with us. We took care of him for five months and he now lives abroad with his new family.

I am ideally looking for a job with hours in the morning to late afternoon, allowing evenings with my son as he transitions to life in the US, but I am completely open to all hours. Now that summer break is approaching, I am looking for a job with flexibility in regards to my son joining me. He is fantastic with other children and makes fast friends. It is certainly not a requirement and he will be in good hands with my mother if that is not an option. I am open to a summer only job for elementary or middle school aged children, as well.
