Introduction
I can help with subjects such as English, reading, writing, mathematics, biology, chemistry, environmental science, and other general science subjects. I can also assist with homework, school projects, presentations, studying, and test preparation. Because of my background in Medical Biology, I am particularly comfortable with science-related subjects and enjoy sharing my curiosity about biology and the natural world.
However, I would love to be more than simply an academic tutor. As an Au Pair and Live-in Tutor, I would be happy to become a helpful and dependable part of the family. I can support children with their daily routines, prepare simple meals and snacks, help keep their study and activity areas organized, assist with light household tasks, and participate in activities that make their time at home enjoyable.
Outside academics, I enjoy playing guitar and ukulele, cooking and baking, painting, hiking, basketball, table tennis, writing, and learning new things. I would be happy to use these interests to create fun activities with children, whether that means teaching them a simple song, cooking or baking together, doing an art project, spending time outdoors, or simply helping them explore their interests.
I am comfortable learning new routines and following a family's preferences and house rules. I understand that living with a host family requires respect, communication, flexibility, cleanliness, and responsibility. My goal would be to provide reliable support while also becoming someone the children can feel comfortable learning and spending time with.
I believe my combination of academic knowledge, patience, creativity, practical skills, and willingness to help around the home makes me a well-rounded candidate for families looking for someone who can contribute both as a tutor and as a responsible member of the household.
