Introduction
I recently graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature. My next goal is to complete my Master's degree online to become a teacher while working in London, which is why becoming an au pair feels like the perfect opportunity for me.
I hold a B2 English certificate, which I achieved with good grades, and I feel confident communicating in English. I also have extensive experience working with children. I started babysitting from a young age, and for the past two years I have been working at Fedac Castellar – La Immaculada, where I have gained valuable experience caring for and supporting children of different ages. Working with children is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love creating a fun, caring and positive environment for them.
The reason I want to become an au pair is because I'm looking for a new adventure and a chance to experience something different while continuing my studies. London has always been my favourite city in the world, and over the past two years I have visited it around eight times. I already know my way around the city, and I truly love its atmosphere and the people who live there. It already feels like a place where I could happily call home.
I am a responsible, kind, organised and open-minded person, and I would love to become a positive part of your family's daily life while also sharing my Spanish culture with you.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I look forward to getting to know you, having the opportunity to chat in an interview, and hopefully beginning this exciting new chapter together!
I would describe myself as a caring, patient and open-minded person. Looking after the people I love has always come naturally to me, and I genuinely enjoy making others feel comfortable, supported and cared for. I'm also very lucky to have a close group of lifelong friends who have been by my side for many years.
For most of my life, I never imagined myself living anywhere other than my small hometown. But as I've grown older and travelled more, I've realised how exciting it is to discover new places and meet new people. I truly believe I could be very happy exploring different parts of the world while still carrying the values that home has given me.
I recently graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature. My next step is to complete a Master's degree in Secondary Education so I can become a high school teacher.
One of the reasons I chose this career is because, when I was younger, I had an amazing teacher who made a real difference in my life. She always listened to me, took my thoughts seriously and made me feel understood. I would love to be that kind of teacher for another teenager one day, someone who makes them feel heard, supported and encouraged.
I also have a genuine love for reading and Spanish literature. Books have always been a big part of my life, and if I can inspire even one child to discover that same passion for reading, I will feel incredibly happy.
I have been working with children for several years in different environments. I have worked at summer camps as an activity leader, taking care of children of different ages, and for the past two years I have been working at a primary school with children between the ages of 6 and 12.
These experiences have taught me a great deal, both professionally and personally. Every child is different, and I really enjoy getting to know their personalities, helping them grow and making them feel safe and supported.
My native languages are Spanish and Catalan, as I was raised in Catalonia. I also speak English and have a B2 First Certificate, which is available on my profile.
Over the past two years my English has improved even more because I regularly spend time in London visiting my boyfriend. All of his friends speak English, so I've had lots of opportunities to practise in everyday situations. This has helped me become much more fluent and confident when expressing myself.
