Introduction
Dear family,
My name is Puji and from Indonesia. I’ve been living for 2 years in Norway as au pair. I mostly help very young children around 8 months – 2 years and occasionally take care of the older. I’m taking care of children when parents are still at work or they are sick. I have done what their regular routines are and made it interesting. I also help them in games and activities they want. For older children, I have guided in games such as counting and reading books. For the youngest child, I have encouraged the child to try crawling, read books and use body language, mimicry and facial expressions to communicate. The kid and I visit library very often and they like it. Through the au-pair program I have also collaborated with parents. I tell them what their children are doing and I share their progress.
In my free time, I join Indonesian traditional dance group and perform on stage sometimes. I did volunteer work for world cup ski in Oslo and I have worked so hard to learn Norwegian language and meet local to practice it. I like relax environment where art can be included in daily life. I’m structured and also flexible when needed.
I speak English very well and intermediate Norwegian. I have education in pharmacy, so I’m an educated person.
