Dear host family,

My name is Christy Mujeres. I’m 25 years old and I live in Tawala, Panglao - just a few minutes away from Alona Beach, which you may have heard of. I live with my mom, Minjo (50), my older sister, Nirel (26), and my twin sister, Christna (also 25). We also have a cuddly dog named Rain who loves walks, food, and attention.

My mom works as a house caretaker and used to work as a nanny when she was younger. My older sister works at a popular BBQ restaurant in our hometown, and my twin sister works as a Nursing Attendant.

I would describe myself as dependable, thoughtful, and someone who tries to make the best out of every situation. I really value my family and friends, and I enjoy helping the people I care about whenever they need support.

In my free time, I love listening to music, running or jogging, and dancing. Dancing is a big passion of mine. I teach festival dance and I’m part of a local dance organization. I also serve as the adviser for the dance group at the school where I work. I enjoy singing too, even if I’m not the best at it!

Right now, I work as a college instructor, which also gives me opportunities to interact with children during community programs. During my internship, I taught primary school students, and I truly enjoyed it. They were so kind and sweet, and I honestly miss being around young children. I built close connections with them, and those memories mean a lot to me.

Over the years, I’ve also taken care of a friend’s child and looked after my younger cousins when we all lived in one house. Those experiences made me realize how much joy children bring. They never fail to lift my mood and make me smile.

The reason I want to become an au pair is because I would love to experience your culture and daily life, and, most importantly, spend an entire year caring for children. I also see it as a great chance to improve my English and maybe even learn a new language.

I truly hope we can build a positive relationship and live together comfortably as a family. It would make me very happy to share a year full of great experiences with you and your children.
