Hello!
We are seeking a LONG TERM LIVE-IN caregiver who will be the primary caregiver for our father who has ALS. We need coverage from now (November 2022) onwards (as long as everyone is happy, this opportunity will last indefinitely.) He currently needs assistance with all activities of daily living (feeding, dressing, bathing, etc.) and mobility. He has a PEG tube to supplement his oral feeding and will likely need a trach tube in the near future. He can ambulate short distances with a rollator, but needs a motorized wheelchair or has to be pushed in a manual wheelchair for long distances. He uses a CPAP at night and a Trilogy machine during the day. Our father is completely fine cognitively/mentally, he just needs help because of his physical limitations.
The caregiver MUST be patient and have the ability to learn and adapt to change due to our father's progressive condition. The caregiver must have some healthcare or caregiving experience, be comfortable in a Christian household and know how to cook. The caregiver will need to assist with transportation to doctor's appointments and take our father outside for fresh air regularly.
