I would like someone who can work as part of a team that includes a housekeeper, and provides 24hour in home care for an elderly man in Montego Bay. You should be caring, kind and have experience and understanding of the varying moods/emotions of a person with dementia.
You should be prepared to assist the client with bathing, shaving, dressing and haircare, changing of sheets and bedding, as needed. You should have a cheerful and encouraging personality and treat your client with patience and respect. The client can walk with the aid of a rolling walker, and should be encouraged to walk daily.
Part of your duties will be to provide companionship. that includes, playing dominoes, card games, turning on the TV and finding suitable programming; assisting the senior to use such devices as tablets for playing games, and to help answer and make phone calls. Be prepared to serve meals, and clean up afterwards.
