Caregiver & Housekeeper Position Available

Hello,

I am looking for someone to assist Diane, my lovely mother, when Jasmine her primary caregiver is not available: 1 to 3 m 2016 to February 2017. There will be therefore an option for more months of work in the future.

Diane is 71, she is a very peaceful and kind person. After an episode of agitation in 2015 she has been prescribed sedatives and so she is now spending most of her day in bed, she walks slowly, a bit shaky and lacks coordination. She is very much with it though, just very sedated, hardly talks, eats by herself with a little assistance. There are episodes of incontinence, she wears adult diapers and it is good to assist her every time she goes to the toilet.

I would like someone to live in her house to keep an eye on her, assist her, care for her and love her. Her house is big and she could exchange a room with en suite bathroom for some help with housekeeping and an allowance for driving and other tasks. Since she spends most of her time in bed, approx 21h a day, there are intervals of 20 min of assistance required throughout the day leaving plenty of time for other tasks, as preparing the portion of the villa for holiday lets in the high season (March-October) (changeovers, cleaning and washing, making beds).

The house is in the hills of Florence and we have a car to commute to the city center, only 3 km down the hill of the lovely neighborhood of Pian de' Giullari in Florence. Tasks include meal preparation, giving medicines, hygiene and related tasks as shopping, food management, washing and housekeeping.

We have a nice SPA to relax and enjoy the plenty of free time available at the property.

We pay 50 euro per day of work, on a long term continuous basis, so 1500 for 30 consecutive days.
