Hello.
I am a nursing student from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe with a passion for helping and caring for people in need including seniors. During my nursing school clinical attachments I have gained a lot to practical experience in caring for seniors and some memorable experiences with them as well. I recently completed an Alison’s course in caregiving online to further my scope in the feild.
I understand that caring for the elderly requires a lot of patience, empathy and the ability to communicate well with the elderly, and hence have made it my task to improve a great deal on those attributes for the best geriatric care.
Attachments in nursing school equipped me with the relevant skills that go hand in glove with elderly care such as assisting them with activities of daily living ( bathing, changing diapers and soiled linen, turning in bed, etc), administration of medications and keeping records of such, companionship, and observation skills amazing other skills.
I am also a trained policeman and therefore have the ability to handle challenging situations with grace and due professionalism. I can quickly adapt to change in environment and believe that this, amongst all aforementioned attributes, makes me dependable and trustworthy for caring for elderly.
I am dedicated to providing high-quality care and enhancing the lives of of senior persons that I am hopefully going to take care of.
