Hello

My name is Isaac, a final year nursing student from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe with a passion for caring for people in need including seniors. During my nursing school clinical attachments I have gained a lot of practical experience in caring for seniors and some memorable experiences with them as well. Recently, I completed an Alison course online certificate in caregiving to further my scope in the feild.
I understand that caring for the elderly is a feat that requires a great amount of patience, empathy and the ability to communicate well with the elderly, and have since made it my task to improve a great deal in those attributes for high quality geriatric care.
Clinical attachments in nursing school equipped me with essential skills that go hand in glove with elderly care such as assisting them with activities of daily living(bathing, oral care, turning in bed, changing diapers and soiled linen, catheter care…), administration of medications and keeping records of such, companionship and observational skills among other skills.
I am also a trained policeman and therefore have the ability to handle challenging situations with grace and due professionalism at all times. I can quickly adapt to any changes and believe that that amongst other aforementioned attributes qualifies me to be dependable and trustworthy for caring for the elderly.
I am dedicated to provide high-quality care and possibly enhance the lives of senior persons that I’m hopefully going to care for.
