As a personal assistant ,I enjoy helping people especially the health challenged, the elderly, it is my Passion I enjoy making a positive impact in people's lives, I have always been interested in the wok of helping others from the time after I finished my GCE.
I enjoy being an active member of my community and helping them. I feel my personal values of caring makes people so happy , i'am friendly and respectful, i respect client's privacy and excercise confidentiality, tolerant,show empathy the values of what a Care Assistant should be are not really in professional learning,but it is something in me , it is more than been just career but, you feel part of the family , i'am a very flexible person when it comes to getting to know people because of my kind heart ,i easily fit in because of my the joy I carry and effort to support .
The job of helping is my passion people feel so comfortable to be under the same roof with because managing people is not a problem with me . i tried my best to even sponsor myself to school and got an advanced certificate in health care assistant. I worked as a volunteer at Makeni Urban Clinic. i'am one person who is very dedicated to what i do,my skill of house chores like cleaning the environment, washing, cooking, gardening helping the vulnerable like the health challenged and elder is one thing i'am born with and always enjoy doing
I want to work outside Zambia because I want to gain more experience .From the time i was an informal career for 2-3years taking care of my sister with diabetes hypertasive and dementia I learned quite a number of things I know meal preparations for such patients,monitoring medication schedules and managing dementia issues including other health related challenged,I like taking care of the elderly and vulnerable .Most of my experience involved ,bed making , checking vitals, feeding patients both oral and Nasal gastric feeding, keeping the environment clean , disinfection helping the health challenged to bath and dress up keeping their entire body clean, washing , keeping them company and make them wear a smiling face all the time , providing bed pans to them taking them to the toilet, it is my passion looking after the community , elderly and the need.
I qualify for this position based on my passion I have for the vulnerable,the need ,the elderly ,I remember at one time I used to keep a lot of people at my place and I no problem with that because it's something in me.
