Introduction
I come from a family of caregivers, so providing care and support has always been part of my life. I have personal experience caring for my grandfather for 2 years, who had a stroke, and my great-grandmother who lived with Alzheimer’s.
Providing assistance with hygiene and general personal care, meal preparation, and occasionally helping with eating due to impaired movements. Offering leisure support, from short walks to enjoying a good chat together on the terrace while enjoying some sunlight.
I also took part in caring for elderly people during missionary trips we used to take, providing medication, food, and offering leisure activities to support their well-being.
These experiences taught me patience, empathy, and how to provide compassionate care for elderly individuals with different needs.
I understand the importance of creating a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment. Whether it’s assisting with daily tasks, providing companionship, or ensuring their well-being, I genuinely enjoy being there for those who need support.
Would love to bring my caring nature and dedication to a family in need and that's also why i decided to become an occupational therapist in the future!
