I have experience working as a caregiver for elderly clients, including patients living with dementia. I provide full assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. I help with safe transfers from bed to chair and assist with walking to prevent falls.
I prepare meals according to dietary needs, assist with feeding when necessary, and monitor food and fluid intake. I also give medication reminders and ensure medications are taken as prescribed. I monitor vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature when required and observe any changes in the client’s health or behavior, reporting concerns to the family or healthcare professionals.
In addition, I provide companionship, emotional support, and cognitive stimulation activities suitable for dementia patients. I assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I support clients with doctor’s appointments when needed and ensure proper hygiene and comfort at all times.
