With a wealth of experience in
home-based care, I bring a compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to
supporting individuals with complex health needs, including those affected by stroke and
limited mobility.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a deep commitment to providing personalized,
respectful care that maintains patient dignity and enhances their quality of life. During my
time as a private caregiver for a stroke survivor, I handled all aspects of daily care—from
hygiene and nutrition to mobility support and health documentation. My training from
Serene Care and Ibhebheshane Elder Care and hands-on experience with equipment such as hospital beds and hydraulic
lifts have equipped me to manage a wide range of caregiving challenges.
I have been acting as a family caregiver as I took care of my father who had cancer and
dementia from 2015 to 2017 the year he passed. I also nursed my husband who was
diagnosed with cancer in 2012 until 2013 when he returned to work. In 2025, I provided care for a patient with Parkinson's disease where I was responsible for providing compassionate support, bathing, housekeeping duties and preparing healthy meals.
In addition to my caregiving work, I bring strong interpersonal skills from my years in retail
management, as well as entrepreneurial experience through my small fashion design
business. These experiences have reinforced my abilities in time management, multitasking,
and communicating effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.
